Yesterday was bitter/sweet. It was our last day of choir for the year. And our choir teacher is leaving and not coming back. I am not actually in the choir, since I am graduated, but I was assistant teacher in both the high school and middle school choirs, and I love our choir director so much. She is so much fun and such an inspiration.
But, despite the sadness of the day, I managed to have a little fun. ;)
There was v-ball at orchestra, as usual. {Always awesome.}
After that I went to a last minute soccer game that our high school team wanted to play against the woman's team. {I am on the woman's team.}
We won, but I felt bad...mostly because all of the highschoolers are my friends. I played the entire game, too, which was awesome, because there were only 6 of our team there. That was exhausting. But epic.
And after that we played sand volleyball!!! Which was super great! I haven't played v-ball in the sand since I was 12 or 13. I enjoyed it a lot. I think I am going to try to put together a v-ball party sometime this summer and play at the sand court!
While we were playing one of the v-balls got stuck way up at the top of a tree, so I climbed all the way up and pulled it out. :D I love climbing trees!!!
All in all, it was an epic day.
Sometimes I struggle with understanding people. The human heart is so complex and relationships so diverse that no two parts can be counted alike. I am still such a klutz at talking... I am constantly forgetting what I was saying, saying the wrong things, or having NO CLUE what to say. Still, I look around my at my friends and wonder...just what is it that makes them want to by my friend? Why do they care if I am here? What keeps them from walking away?
I know why I am their friend. I know why I love them.
Just a few of the random thoughts flowing through my mind today, spurred on by a conversation I had yesterday.
God has been so good to me the last few months. He has done some extraordinary things, miracles that can be only explained by His magnificent hand. And they have been for me. ME.
It is so humbling. I cannot wait to see what He will do next in my life.
<3 <3 <3 love you hunny! You are cute. <3

D'awww. This post rocked, dearie.
ReplyDeleteOh, I STINK at volleyball. Like... I'm the worst. I'll even aim, and the ball bounces off behind me, which is super embarrassing. lol
Because of an accident yeaaars ago, most trees where I live are groomed so no one can reach the branches. I've never really climbed a tree. *sniffle sniff*
Uugh, I know how you feel about friends. Why anyone would want to be friends with you. I have that exact feeling. I'm so grateful for my friends being awesome. :D
Awww, thanks Treskie! You are such a sweetheart! :D
DeleteHahahahaha! Sounds like you just need practice, is all. Trust me, we all fail when we start.
WHAT! You have missed out! It is super fun! It is dangerous, but fun. I like danger. ^_^
Yes...yes. Me too.
It's true, I only play like... maybe once a summer. hehe.

DeleteI was thinking about you yesterday while choir would've been going on:) It sounds like I missed out on a lot! You have to do the party when I can come, 'cause I love sand vball:)
ReplyDeleteI'll get around to answering the questions when I get a chance, and I have no idea when that will be!
Miss and love you bunches!
And I was thinking of YOU. All day long. I gave Julia a hug for you. :D <3 <3
DeleteYES!! I will!! And it will be epic fun. :D :D
Awesome! Can't wait! You should share all about your adventures too!! <3
Love and miss you too!! Can't wait for you to come home! ^_^
Lol, I will have more things to tell than time to tell them! I'm hoping to get a blog post up soon about what's going on with me, but I don't know if I'll ever get the time to type it up!
DeleteI honestly can't wait to come home either!! I miss my home, family, and friends a ton and a half:)
I hope and pray the final concert goes smoothly tomorrow evening!! I'm like way, WAY sad I can't be there:(
Understanding people is definitely SO hard, I can totally relate. They're really not so bad though, and life would be pretty awful without them! ;)
ReplyDeleteYes. And NO KIDDING! They may not always make sense, but I would die without people. Pretty literally. ;) :D
DeleteI'm super excited to have you around, Pixie! And just have to say, I ADORE your name!! <3 ;)
Oh my gosh, I'm so glad I am not the only one who doesn't understand people! I have trouble figuring out if people I interact with are being truthful or not, etc.
ReplyDeletePhew. I'm glad *I'm* not the only one!! I guess it would be a universal problem, since we are all...people. I just wish that all of us who wanted to understand everyone else...could at least understand each other. :D
